On highway 15 from Târgu Mureș head towards north. Pass through Sângeorgiu de Mureș and arrive in Ernei, where turn to right to county road 153A. Pass through Icland, Călușeri, Isla, Dămieni and Mătrici then arrive to Eremitu. In the village centre turn left to the forest road that goes to Orșova. From the intersection it takes about 2 km to arrive to the point from where the site of the watchtower can be reached by foot.
The road from Târgu Mureş to Eremitu is good quality asphalt road with periodical high traffic. From the village centre a gravel road follows. We recommend taking the last part of the track to the watchtower by foot. Detailed information about the pedestrian path and the exact location of the site can be accessed here.
